Seattle Jewish Federation Shooting

Last month, a crazed islamo-fascist stormed into the Seattle Jewish Federation offices and opened fire, killing one, and injuring five others. Today, I read an article at KOMO TV4 that features one of the victims, Dayna Klein, stating that this incident should put 'gun control' on the 'nation's radar'.

Klein states, "How and why the murderer who invaded my workplace a couple of weeks ago was able to legally acquire two semiautomatic weapons in our state is still a very disturbing mystery to me."

Semiautomatic is what I call a 'buzz word' in the gun control movement, along with 'assault rifle' and 'cop-killer bullets'. Last time I checked, most every firearm this side of a bolt-action rifle is 'semi-automatic', and perfectly legal in all 50 states, I believe? The real problem here, is murder, which is illegal in all 50 states.

The further restriction of gun ownership by law abiding citizens will only serve to erode our already infringed Bill of Rights and sovereignty.

Connecticut Senate Primary

Regarding the August 8th, 2006 Connecticut Senate Primary

The left-wing moonbats seem to have put Lamont on the Democrat ticket in Connecticut for 2006. Their wild-eyed jubalism can be summed up with this paragraph...

"People are going to look back and say the Bush years started to end in Connecticut," said Avi Green, a volunteer from Boston. "The Republicans are going to look at tonight and realize there's blood in the water."

We'll see...

Nothing New

Revelations recently that the National Security Agency is keeping a massive database containing all or most of the phone calls made by US Citizens, in order to find patterns that could uncover terrorist activity, is troubling. Troubling, but nothing new. The infamous spying network, 'Echelon', has been around since the 60's, spying on ordinary Americans as they make phone calls, emails, even baby monitors were reportedly picked up in the mix. I wonder really, if and how much national security programs like this provide? I would guess that to a certain extent, they are useful in providing protection from terrorists or the like. Really, though, I believe that the real reason for their existence is to keep those in power, in power. The build-up of government is the exact reason why the government claims it needs to monitor you and me. They are in control, and the power of the people has been usurped.

Nukes Smuggled from Mexico?

On this Friday, April 28th, another step has been taken towards the looming confrontation between the United States and Iran. Today represents the deadline that the US gave to the Iranian regime stating that they either stop enriching uranium or face more serious consequences. Assuming that the US eventually decides to strike Iran's nuclear facilities at some point, what about the relationship between Al-Qaida and Iran? Al-Qaida is believed to already be in possession of multiple nuclear devices, including the widely feared "suitcase" nukes, allegedly purchased on the Russian black market. Even worse, these bombs may be inside the US right now. This brings me to my next point, border security. As a direct result of inept border security, Al-Qaida has been able to, with the help of Mexican criminal gangs, smuggle both nuclear devices and sleeper cells into this country from Mexico. Their sinister plan? To create multiple simultaneous detonations across the country immediately following a US strike against Iran's enrichment plants.

Border Security anyone?

Rick Monday

The day was April 25, 1976. The Cubs were playing the Dodgers in Los Angeles. Patrolling center field for the Cubs was 30-year-old Rick Monday, who was embarking upon what would be the best season of his career, with 32 home runs and 77 runs batted in. On this spring day in '76, he was on a Cubs team that was headed for a fourth place finish in the National League East. It was the fourth inning with the Dodgers batting.

The Vietnam War had ended a year before, but people didn't need a war in order to protest. What these two ding-a-lings who had just dashed onto the field of Dodger Stadium were all about nobody knew, but here they were, and where was security? They had come from the left-field corner and had just run past Cubs left fielder Jose Cardenal. One carried something under his arm but Monday couldn't distinguish what it was. Once they reached shallow left-center, they stopped and brought out the object. Monday could see; it was the U.S. flag.

He recalled that they laid it on the ground almost as if they were about to have a picnic. Then one of them dug into his pocket and brought out something shiny and metallic. "I figured having gone to college two and two is sometimes four," Monday said. "They were dousing it with lighter fluid." Then they lit a match. Which flared momentarily and died. By now, Monday was in full stride, running towards them. "To this day, I don't know what I was thinking,"he said. "Except bowl them over." He was also thinking they were trying to commit a terrible act.

"What they were doing was extremely wrong as far as I was concerned," said Monday, who served six years in the Marine Reserves. He reached them about the time they got the second match lit and were about to torch the flag. "There's a picture that I think won the Pulitzer Prize and it showed me reaching down and grabbing the flag," he said. Monday got the flag and handed it to Doug Rau, a Dodger's pitcher. That was the last Monday saw of it until a month later. The Dodgers came to Wrigley Field and Al Campanis, a Dodgers executive, presented the flag to Monday. "It's displayed very proudly in my home," he said.

Monday got a hero's welcome wherever the Cubs played the rest of that season. It was the last thing he wanted. He had simply done what he thought was the right and honorable thing to do. He had visited a veterans hospital when he played for Oakland and had seen how people's lives had been shattered fighting for what that flag represents. "It's the way I was brought up," he said. "You would have done the same thing had you been as close geographically as I was, I get the idiots stopped."

The following excerpts were taken from an original article written by Larry Henry and published in the 6/14/1998 Sunday edition of The Herald Newspaper in Everett, Washington.

Carousel Report

What a great time I had down in Portland, Oregon this morning. I took off from the home base of Tacoma, Washington around 5:45am and arrived at the scene around 8:15am. I was the first protester there, so I walked around the block a little bit and saw that a line or crowd of presumably illegal aliens and/or sympathizers was already standing outside the Mexican consulate building. Braving the bitterly cold winds, they huddled together like penguins, with the promise of fake ID cards and taxpayer funded goodies in their near future. How quaint. Here is an image of the building, then of the Mexican flag being raised. The guy raising the flag was also the one letting people in the door.

I saw this sign in the general area. It was referring to the nearby freeway overpass area, but the irony was not lost on me, especially with the Spanish translation. I wish my government felt this way about illegal aliens.

So, once some fellow concerned Americans started to show up, the feeling in the air was of solidarity. I really had a wonderful time meeting everyone there. I've always loved the state of Oregon, just like my own state of Washington. I think that a lot of the issues both states share. Here are some protest pictures.

Yeah, I thought it was fitting when he put on the bandana. I refer to him now as the Boo-Hoo Blue Anarchist. I really expected more opposition than him though. Of course, we can't forget about this guy...

At first I thought he was Dee Snyder... but I guess he was just a guy that has to illegally hire criminals in order to be competitive. Upon further questioning by Daniel at Daniel's Political Musings, he admitted that really he needed to hire illegals so that he had enough money to buy weed. Nice...

One of the high points of the morning was to spend a few minutes talking with Daniel. I've been following his blog for some time and in a way, it has inspired me to be a more active participant in this fight for what I consider the most important stand for our national sovereignty. We cannot and will not let our country and what our country stands for be taken away by those who would wish to see us all diminish into squalor. I took a picture of Daniel speaking with a man that had been waiting for someone in the Mexican Consulate, for his wife I believe? Apparently, he said that their status in this country was legal. I find that hard to believe, as only Mexican Nationals were admitted into this event. Unless I can be proven otherwise...

ID Theft: Part 2

Previously, I talked about how someone can practically guess or steal a SSN and use any old name with it to get and abuse credit. The three major credit reporting companies all have databases that actually have subfiles, which is just an innocuous term for your stolen SSN with another person's name attached, but they do nothing effectively to prevent or discourage it. Why should they? They profit from it as well in the form of selling you false protection with names like 'Credit Watch'. The only problem is, you can only "watch" your own SSN-name combination.

Well, I find all that sickeningly amusing, because in October 1998, President Bill Clinton signed the Identity Theft and Assumption Deference Act, which makes it a felony to use or transfer the identity (including the SSN) of another person, punishable by up to 15 years in prison and/or $250,000 in fines.

With the crime being so serious, supposedly, why is it that when in a database of SSNs, a SSN comes up with more than one name associated with it, a red flag is not thrown up? I mean, obviously someone is in the wrong. Perhaps, maybe a simple solution would be to CALL THE FIRST NAME ON THE LIST?!! You know, it seems so easy, I wonder why there is even a problem? Simple. Here are the reasons.

  • #1: Employers get cheap labor by having illegal aliens or other criminals working for them. Because of the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act, employers must require employees to provide a SSN in order to gain employment. Sounds good until you realize that it only provides an incentive for people to steal SSNs in order to gain employment. That leads to other abuse of SSNs, of course.
  • #2: Government agencies like the IRS and SSA have billions of "unclaimed" SS payments, from people that have stolen SSNs, and they don't want to give it up. Would you?
  • #3: Credit Reporting Agencies profit from selling you worthless protection, while turning around and allowing creditors to buy complete access to your SSN.
  • #4: Creditors get to increase rates and collect fees from people for no good reason at all, because of what someone else did with their SSN.

    Bullshit. Plain and Simple.

    ID Theft

About 70 years ago, Congress passed the Social Security Act. At that point it only authorized the creation of a record-keeping scheme and not the social security numbers. The Treasury Department decided otherwise and developed the numbering system to create and track those records. Bad decision.

Then in 1943, during World War II, President Roosevelt mandated that all federal agencies use the SSN "exclusively" to identify U.S. citizens. The IRS also began to use it as a tax ID number by the 1960s. Soon thereafter, divulging your SSN became necessary to buy Treasury bonds, receive Medicare benefits, or even joining the armed forces. By 1972 SSNs were assigned to school children and foreign workers with visas, and a 1983 law required all banks to obtain SSNs for savings accounts.

This is exactly why the SSN has become so invaluable for ID thieves. The SSN was never intended as a password, simply because it lacks the ability for it to be changed, but companies and government agencies use it that way, regardless. Getting a hold of someone's SSN can permit an ID thief to drain the victim's bank accounts and run up their credit cards. Sounds good, right?

Many of the illegal aliens in this country right now are using someone else's SSN, without the victim ever knowing. The problem is, in most cases, that victim could never even look into it, even if they wanted to. The reason is that, as unbelievable as it sounds, consumers are only allowed to view their own credit information if their SSN matches to their own name. If a criminal was to steal another person's SSN but to use a fake name, or even the criminal's real name in some cases, there is no way the original number holder could ever find out. This is called "SSN-only ID Theft". Of course, corporations and businesses have special agreements with the credit bureaus that let them check any given SSN to any names that might be associated with it. They can use special systems, with names like Social Search, to cross-reference SSNs with names at will. The reasoning? The credit bureaus basically claim privacy concerns, which to me amounts to a bunch of horseshit. In the day and age of 128-bit encryption, there could be a way, albeit inconvenient and lengthy, for a real person to prove to these agencies that they own a given SSN. The problem comes when these criminals leave unpaid debts with your SSN, guess who the creditors come after? You got it! Seems that it is too much of a hassle for the creditors to let you know when your number is being stolen at the time, but it's just part of the job when they come to take your money for someone else's crime. Bastards.

    UPCOMING ILLEGAL ALIEN CIRCUS

    Saturday April 22, 2006 @ 9:00 AM

    PCUN Office
    300 Young St.
    Woodburn, Oregon 97071

This event, as some of you already know, is put together by PCUN (Pineros y Campesinos Unidos Del Noroeste), which in English means, Northwest Treeplanters and Farmworkers United, in order to provide illegal aliens with Matricula Consular cards. These cards are claimed to be secure ID cards, but only needed by illegal aliens because anyone in this country legally would already have a real ID card.

    From the PCUN site:
Employees in these areas generally work long hours for low wages, with no overtime pay, paid breaks, seniority, job security, or other benefits. Seasonal workers are often housed in squalid labor camps owned and operated by growers or labor contractors. They are exposed to a myriad of chemicals and pesticides sprayed on crops and often lack the proper protective gear and training to apply pesticides. They also lack the right to collective bargaining, which is guaranteed to all other industries under the National Labor Relations Act.

I'm sorry, but, if you don't like it, then LEAVE!!! Get your illegal asses out of my country and work in Mexico!

Come on down to protest this event.
